Fifteenth Annual Charity Gold Classic Raises $20,000 9/7/2007
Sunny skies were a welcome sight for over 220 golfers participating in the 15 th annual G&B Energy Charity Golf Classic. The event, held Thursday September 6, 2007 at Cedarbrook Country Club, raised $20,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Yadkin Valley United Fund.

Sparta Elementary school raised $2,661 dollars with a Traeger wood pellet grill donated by G&B Energy. Sparta Elementary will use the money to purchase Smart Boards for their Kindergarten classrooms. G&B Energy purchases C&J LP GAS INC. 1/25/2007
G&B Oil Company Inc. has purchased Wilkes County propane and heating oil supplier, C&J LP Gas Company Inc. Ravaughn Ashley sold the business in December to Elkin based, G&B Oil Company Inc. The two companies established a close working relationship in 1974 when they partnered in the propane gas business in Wilkes County. Read more

G&B Energy has partnered with The Foothills Arts Council to bring Grammy award winning recording artist Al Petteway and his wife Amy White to Elkin for a concert and photography exhibit on December 9, 2006 at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 and all money raised will benefit The Foothills Arts Council.
