Using a propane tankless water heater can avert up to 1,470 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions, or about the same amount of carbon dioxide that a standard passenger car emits in seven weeks.

Propane is nontoxic and insoluble in water. Because it is released as a gas, it doesn't spill, pool, or leave a residue.
